Yes. Offline capability is a core architectural feature of Spomyn. Users can download comprehensive "Region Packs" (vector tiles and POI databases) while connected to a network. Once downloaded, all mapping, search, and logging features function seamlessly without an internet connection.
How is the privacy of user-created data ensured?
Data privacy is absolute. User-generated content, such as "My Spots" or journal entries, is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database within the device's secure sandbox. Spomyn operates without a backend user database; therefore, we technically cannot access or monetize your location data.
What is the pricing model?
Spomyn operates on a one-time purchase model for the Pro Version. The Free Tier allows for online exploration and limited logging. The Pro Version unlocks unlimited offline downloads, full GPX tracking, and the Privacy Vault backup system. No recurring subscriptions, ever.
What are the data recovery options?
While data resides locally by default, we offer "Privacy Vault Backup." This feature allows users to encrypt and back up their history directly to their personal iCloud or Google Drive. This ensures data redundancy without transmitting information to Spomyn servers.
Does the application support GPX files?
Yes. Users can import external GPX files to visualize routes on the map. The application maintains accurate elevation and distance data, allowing you to review your tracks or follow paths shared by others.
